If the sirens are activated, smoke or suspicious vapours have been detected. You have not complied with the no-smoking rules or you have naively produced smoke/steam in a protected room. The detection system is very sensitive to protect you when you are sleeping. It may be triggered by an event that seems insignificant to you. However, before deactivating the siren, you must make sure that everyone is awake, aware of any potential danger that may require emergency evacuation, and you have to check yourself that there is no fire or smoke in any rooms of the villaIf the situation is under control and you are 100% sure that's a false alarm, you can stop the alarm by following the procedure below in its entirety:

1. Start by pressing the button on top of the box for one second to switch to access level 2. Activation of access mode 2 will be indicated by a beep.

2. Check on the screen whether access level 2 has been activated.

3. Press the silence button to stop the sirens, see the meaning of the buttons here.

4. Once the smoke has cleared, you can reset the control unit using the button with the two rotating arrows.

After this, two situations are possible: there is still a warning light (not green) indicating a fault or the situation is completely normalised with all the lights green.

In any case, you have to send within the hour a message to the owner (Whatsapp +32494172839 or email to This email address is being protected from spambots. Failure to comply with this procedure may result in severe penalties for you, as the owner accepts no liability in the event of a real accident and you will be sent an invoice for the system to be put back into service by a specialized company that assumes liability for bodily injury.

Please pay attention, you need to know that :

  • Legislation requires the installation of a fire control system that complies with S21-100 standards to prevent personal injury in the event of a fire starting.
  • This system has a black box memory, just like an aircraft. Any action you take will be traced and the owner will always be immediately aware of any alert/default sent by a GSM transmitter.
  • The owner has the right to come and check the state of the accommodation himself after an alert.
  • It's strictly forbidden to unscrew a fire detector or dismantle the central alarm unit.
  • In the event of sabotage, you will be charged 100% of the cost of repairing the detection system by an approved company (500 to 5000€ !
  • The firefighters will be called automatically and at your expense if no action is taken or in the event of deliberate sabotage
  • Each time a detector is dismantled, this one considered to have potentially suffered a fall, it must be replaced by a new one, which will cost you 100€
  • Every time a detector is removed, an SMS alert is sent to the owner to report a fault, it's your deposit that goes up in smoke !
  • The owner doesn't have to stay up all night to help you, he should rest like everyone else.
